Window Tint Percentages: Understand Your Options!

We have film shades from 5% all the way to 70%. The percentage refers to the visible light transmission, which is the amount of visible light that can come through the windows. This means, the lower the percentage, the darker the tint will be. Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage or VLT%.
Fifty-Percent Tint
If you are not looker for darkness, then a 50% tint would be a great choice for you. It blocks out half of the light but still provides good heat and UV ray rejection. A 50% tint shade will not provide a great deal of privacy.
Thirty-Percent Tint
A vehicle with 30% tint will give you a darker appearance but will still be easy to see through. This is a popular shade choice because it creates a smooth, stylish look.
Fifteen-Percent Tint
If you are concerned about privacy, a 15% tint shade will be a great choice for you. A 15% shade is by far the most popular shade we sell. It provides a great sleek look and great privacy as well.Most vehicles that come with “built-in” factory tint (dyed glass) have a 15-20% shade.
Five Percent Tint
A 5% tint is very dark and often referred to as “limo” tint. You can barely see through it. This shade is actually illegal in the state of Oklahoma.
